Traade is a community hub for Portobello, serving coffee and pastries, homeware from local makers and curated vintage clothing all under one roof. As the community around Traade grew, their space needed to grow with it, creating more room to catch up over a sub, meet after a beach run, discover something new, or come together for events.

Traade is a community hub for Portobello, serving coffee and pastries, homeware from local makers and curated vintage clothing all under one roof. As the community around Traade grew, their space needed to grow with it, creating more room to catch up over a sub, meet after a beach run, discover something new, or come together for events.
Approach
We built on the familiar, homely feeling of Traade, adding new layers, energy and opportunities for the space to shift throughout the day.
By day, it remains the neighbourhood staple locals know and love. By night, it can transform into a lively setting for events, pop-ups and buzz-worthy food offerings. Alongside the interior, we shifted Traade’s existing brand into something more vibrant and playful, adding personalty to the space and plenty of angles worth snapping and sharing.
